HHW was established in 1982 and today, we continue to build on our enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first class service to our business and personal clients alike. We have many clients in the local community and service businesses, small and large, across many sectors including.

Our Team

John Hines BSc FCCA ACA Director johnhines@h-h-w.co.uk John qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977 with the Norwich Office of KPMG. For the past 22 years he has been a practising partner/director specialising in advising owner managed businesses, partnerships including GP practices, consultants, farm & agricultural concerns, general & manufacturing businesses, shops & service companies. In particular he is interested in business start-ups, tax & wealth planning and business succession issues. Over the past 17 years he has been active in the field of forensic accounting in a litigation support service role. Advising partnerships, GP practices and charities are of particular interest.

Sara Harvey FCCA Director saraharvey@h-h-w.co.uk Sara entered accountancy in 1977, spending six years with the international firm of KPMG at its Norwich office. After a career break she returned to general practice, concentrating on owner managed businesses and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1991. Sara has a broad range of accounting, tax and information technology skills and particularly enjoys involvement with new businesses. She has specialist knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules and the requirements of The Financial Services Authority. In 1999 Sara was President of the Norwich branch of the ACCA and is now a member of the ACCA Executive Council.

Alan Woods FCCA Consultant alanwoods@h-h-w.co.uk Alan qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1967 and commenced his own practice in 1977 expanding the practice to a team of 11. Over the years Alan has helped many new and growing businesses through difficult times, which has resulted in a large and varied client base. Alan has many connections with local owner managed businesses and is able to advise on all accounting, tax and general business matters. He is particularly interested in advising the self-employed and small to medium sized family-run enterprises.

Andrew Fryer Senior Manager andrewfryer@h-h-w.co.uk The team is headed up by senior manager Andrew Fryer, who brings to the practice twenty-five years of experience in accountancy and tax. Andrew's knowledge of audit and accounting regulations coupled with his experience of tax compliance rules has assisted all of our clients at one time or another.

Stephen Pease BA (Hons), FCCA Senior Manager Born and educated in Norwich, Stephen attended the University of Teesside where he obtained an honours degree in Business Studies. Stephen has over 12 years experience in public practice and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2002. He is primarily involved in advising owner-managed businesses on a wide variety of accounting , tax and general business matters and has specialist knowledge of the accounting requirements of the Financial Services Authority. Stephen is married with two children and his leisure interests include cricket and football.

Esther Parr ACCA Assistant Manager estherparr@h-h-w.co.uk Qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant, Esther, our assistant manager, is advancing her professional qualifications by studying for a BSc in Applied Accountancy. She is very experienced in Company Accounting presentation and Added Value Auditing. As members of the SAGE Accountants and MYOB Professional Partners Clubs, Esther oversees our computerised accounting and bureau department. In 2004-5 Esther was President of the Norwich branch of the ACCA.

Richard Woods BA (Hons) richardwoods@h-h-w.co.uk Our Norwich office is headed by Richard who has vast experience in dealing with all accounting, tax and advisory matters relating to small to medium sized businesses.

Jean Calver jeancalver@h-h-w.co.uk Jean is normally the first contact you may have at HHW as she has the responsibility of liasing with clients ensuring that the most appropriate person deals with their enquiry. Jean also undertakes computerised payroll and VAT accounting duties for many of our smaller clients, enabling their time to be freed for more productive duties.

Debi Harvey debiharvey@h-h-w.co.uk As well as secretarial and administrative duties, Debi keeps an eye on all our Microsoft and computer based processing. These duties include data base integrity; web-site and desktop publishing. If you have any comments on this site please let her know.

Rebecca Ross Rebecca joined us 2 years ago after gaining her BSc at The University of East Anglia, in business, finance and economics. She is now part way through her professional ACCA studies.
